Robert grew up in Tuscaloosa AL in a family of 3 generations of retailers.  His dad,
grandfather and great grandfather owned and operated Dugins Shoes in downtown Tuscaloosa until 1986. Upon graduation from the University of Alabama in 1974, Robert followed his heart and his dreams and moved out west.

He traveled all the way to South Lake Tahoe and spent his first winter working in a ski shop and enjoyed skiing at Heavenly on his days off.  His love for skiing kept him in Tahoe for 10 years. In 1984 he moved to Park City and followed in his family footsteps as he opened his first retail t-shirt store at the PCMR resort. 

The following year he opened his 2nd store on Main Street, which was up
and coming, but he had no idea that Main Street would blossom into the
retail mecca that it is today.

In 1989 he opened another store on Main Street and kept all 3 stores through the Winter Olympics in 2002. In 2013 his wife Linda retired from teaching elementary school and now enjoys working at Dugins West as a husband and wife team.

Robert currently operates one store at 425 Main Street.  He feels blessed to have the  freedom to pursue skiing in the winter, biking and golfing during the summer. He is very proud to be a part of 4 generations of retail…….. from shoes to shirts!
